Reliability Engineer

(ref: VTRE)

We are looking for a Reliability Engineer to join our growing Engineering team. You will support the development of new products and the improvement of existing ones by running pump performance and lifetime testing, investigating root causes of failures, and leading reliability and continuous improvement projects. You will be part of a well-backed, rapidly growing company created to commercialise Disc Pump, a revolutionary, award-winning micropump technology.

We are located on Melbourn Science Park, TTP Group’s own campus of offices, laboratories and production facilities.

The Role
TTP Ventus has a strong product pipeline, with plans to launch multiple new products per year as well as continuously improving our existing ones. As Reliability Engineer you will be an important member of our Engineering team, with responsibility for understanding and improving the reliability of our products. This will include managing and operating our lifetime testing systems (including scheduling, setting up, and monitoring tests), and carrying out detailed failure analysis to understand the root causes of any failures. You will also lead reliability and other continuous improvement projects, with the opportunity to propose and implement design improvements which help to drive the growth of our business.

We are looking for someone with a hands-on attitude who can work both independently and as part of a team, has keen attention to detail, and is enthusiastic about working within a rapidly growing business on a disruptive new technology.

Skills and Experience

Your skills and experience should include:
• A 2:1 or higher degree in an engineering discipline.
• Experience in product reliability testing.
• Good computer skills, including MS Office (Word and Excel)
• Thoroughness, with a keen attention to detail.
• Good manual dexterity.

The following would be beneficial:
• Experience in testing electronic components or systems.
• Knowledge of reliability statistics.
• Project leadership experience.
• CAD experience (e.g. SolidWorks).
• Programming skills (e.g. Python/Matlab).
