John Watson, Business Development Manager at TTP Ventus, will speak at the COMPAMED Innovation Forum, presenting his talk:
Choosing the right microfluidic driver for your compact and mobile POC diagnostic system
The current Covid-19 pandemic has highlighted the importance of mobile POC diagnostics and the need for reliable testing across a wide variety of settings, from the workplace to the classroom. At the heart of many such devices is a complex disposable microfluidic circuit that needs to have the sample and reagents moved quickly, accurately, and precisely to deliver a reliable result in as short as time as possible. Choosing the right microfluidic driver for your system is therefore of paramount importance as this impacts portability, speed, and accuracy and as such it is not a decision to be made lightly. This talk addresses the aspects that should be considered in making that decision and offers some guidance on a possible solution for this application.
John has served the micro pump industry for over 25 years and has a wealth of experience in medical and life science applications.
